SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The Technical Analyst will be responsible for implementation of client account needs as well as collaborating with other members of the Analytics team to drive all goals, objectives, and initiatives for the Analytics department. An ideal candidate is actively engaged within the marketing analytics world and has a full grasp of changes in the landscape of the modern web – understands why the changes are happening, stays current on updates, and can push themselves to come up with creative solutions to complex problems.
This role reports directly to the Director of Analytics and incorporates an advanced level of Analytics product knowledge and client relationship skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Audit and implement tracking for various marketing tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and various marketing pixels.
- Implementation and management of cookie consent banners.
- Deployment and management of server-side tracking via Google Cloud Platform and Google Tag Manager.
- Configuration of performance reports for clients.
- Assist team members with conversion tracking and setup.
- Creation of documentation for new and existing tools in the world of technical marketing.
- Ensure on-time delivery of all reports and deliverables.
- Problem solving and providing recommendations and solutions to complex problems for clients.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Show thought leadership by participating in the creation of various forms of marketing collateral, which include but are not limited to: webinars, company newsletters, blogs, video content, product positioning, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced proficiency (and certification, if applicable) with the following tools:
- Google Analytics 4
- Google Tag Manager – must have experience setting up eCommerce for GA4, server-side experience is a major plus.
- Chrome Developer Tools
- Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications (Excel, Sheets)
- Comprehensive ability to write code in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Regular Expressions
- Technical knowledge of website architecture as well as an understanding of basic web concepts, applications, and frameworks including React and Angular.
- Basic understanding of relational databases.
- Familiarity with SEO and Paid Media and tools and platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to seamlessly collaborate internally and externally via multiple channels of communication (chats, video calls, email).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, directed, and an ability to constantly evolve and learn on the job through self-teaching and certification.
- Curious and active learner who seeks out the latest trends in the field.
- Ability to work remotely and independently, have a strong focus on details, and are driven by timelines.

- 100% remote position - anywhere in South Africa
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or out-of-regular hours work
