Our client is a reputable provider of speech therapy services catering to clients in the US and UK. They are seeking a dedicated Remote Speech Therapy Assistant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with international clients while being part of a supportive South African-based team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting individuals in improving their communication skills through virtual platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering virtual therapy sessions to clients across various age groups.
Implement therapy plans designed by SLPs, focusing on speech, language, and communication disorders.
Monitor and document client progress, providing feedback to supervising SLPs.
Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources for virtual sessions.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and educational professionals to support therapy goals.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with client confidentiality protocols.
Utilize teletherapy platforms and digital tools to conduct sessions and manage documentation.
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Stay informed about advancements in telepractice and speech therapy methodologies.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating therapy sessions to accommodate different time zones.

Requirements
Minimum of 6 months experience as a Speech Therapy Assistant or in a similar role.
Relevant qualification in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or Communication Disorders.
Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or eligibility for registration.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for conducting virtual sessions.
Willingness to work hours that align with US or UK time zones.
Experience with telepractice or virtual therapy services is advantageous.
Understanding of data protection and privacy laws applicable to international clients.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team.
Cultural competence in working with international clients.
Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
