About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Sales - Commercial Lending [TBC], this role is responsible for providing phone-based outreach to brokers to pitch our client’s lending products, provide a basic overview of the value offering, understand the broker’s business, pitch our client’s lending products and solicit new loan inquiries.
The objective of the role is to activate and engage with broker prospects that are somewhat known to the client but that we do not contact frequently enough or get business from.
Success in the role will be reflected in deals written from brokers that the tele sales person contacts.
Key Activities:
Consistent outbound calls to brokers to market our client’s products and build a Qualified Account pool
Ensure accurate data is maintained in our client’s customer relationship management software (Salesforce)
Provide scenarios and qualified contact introductions to the client’s team
Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring appropriate information, appetite confirmation and reliable action items following conversations with brokers
Answer queries from Brokers at a high level
Ensure accurate data management in Salesforce and that all daily follow up items are actioned in a timely manner
Job requirements
Able to work 9am-5pm Australian time (12am-8am South African time)
A customer-centric and solutions focused mindset and the willingness to make a high volume of phone calls is fundamental to success in the role
An enthusiastic and professional phone manner
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to understand the functioning of a CRM database and how to accurately manage data
Confidence to deal with external stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and to contribute and work as part of a team
Self-motivated with a desire to continually exceed expectations
Experience in the banking, non-bank and finance industries is helpful though not essential
Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment is helpful though not essential
